Music at Messiah

The Messiah Choir

Sing weekly for the Sunday worship service September through May. Choir rehearsals are Wednesday nights 7-8:30 pm. Please contact Helen Anthony at hdanthony@verizon.net with further questions.

The Organ

A Moller of 33 ranks and has 3 manuals and pedals. It was built in 1918 and was renovated in 1970. The acoustics in the sanctuary are superb which enhances the sound of the organ for solo pieces as well as accompanying congregational singing.

Hymnal

Messiah Lutheran Church uses the ELW hymnal and supplemental hymnals for worship: “With One Voice “and “All Creation Sings”.

Messiah Lutheran is happy to present two concerts in 2025 to support our organ restoration fund. On Sunday, June 8th, vocalists Amy Yovanovich and Christyan Seay will perform a program entitled “Phases of Love”. This concert will include sacred music as well as folk and Broadway favorites. Helen Anthony, our Director of Music, will accompany our singers on the piano.

On Saturday, December 13th at 3 pm, the Dickinson College Brass Quintet will perform a Christmas/Holiday program together with organist, Helen Anthony.

Adult admission price is $30.00 per concert. Please come and enjoy the music of these talented local musicians.
