Music at Messiah

The Messiah Choir

Sing weekly for the Sunday worship service September through May. Choir rehearsals are Wednesday nights 7-8:30 pm. Please contact Helen Anthony at hdanthony@verizon.net with further questions.

The Organ

A Moller of 33 ranks and has 3 manuals and pedals. It was built in 1918 and was renovated in 1970. The acoustics in the sanctuary are superb which enhances the sound of the organ for solo pieces as well as accompanying congregational singing.

Hymnal

Messiah Lutheran Church uses the ELW hymnal and supplemental hymnals for worship: “With One Voice “and “All Creation Sings”.

Messiah Lutheran continues its music series with two concerts in 2024 to support our organ restoration fund. On June 9th, Music at Messiah will present “PIPES, WINDS, VOICES, AND STRINGS”

The concert will include instrumental and vocal music dedicated to the memory of our former Director of Music, Dan Asmus. The Harrisburg Singers under the direction of Susan Solomon Beckley will be our featured choir.

On December 14th at 3pm, the Hershey Handbell Ensemble will present a program. Adult admission price for each concert is $30.00.
